Monday, July 24th, self-taught violinist/producer Sudan Archives will celebrate the release of her Stones Throw Records debut EP with a free show inside LA's Zebulon Café. The event will include sets by LA producer/DJ's Ras G, Carlos Nino and Ghana's SK Kakraba.
KCRW and the Annenberg Foundation's signature concert series returns this year with Grammy-winning R&B artist Miguel, the legendary Paul Oakenfold and guitar-slinging duo Rodrigo y Gabriela. Tuesday, April 5th, ArtDontSleep teams up with Red Bull Sound Select to bring their monthly showcase to the Los Angeles area with Adrian Younge and his band Venice Dawn performing selections from Younge's recent release "Something About April II" live. The event is set to take place at the Del Monte Speakeasy in Venice with the legendary No I.D. doing a rare DJ set, opening set provided by Joey Dosik.
Described as "Alt-R&B", singer-songwriter Christopher Gallant has been writing since childhood. Most recently the Los Angeles based artist linked up with Jhene Aiko on a track co-produced by Adrian Younge and Stint for Red Bull Sound Select in Venice Beach, California. "Skipping Stones" premiered on Zane Lowe's Beats1 show with a digital release from Red Bull Sound Select.
