LA's Legendary Club Elements Returns For One Night Only
The one-night only all-ages event will take place Saturday, November 7, 2015, at 8:00pm inside the Broadchester in Los Angeles immediately following world-renown Freestyle Sessions. In addition to the performance by Fashawn, there will be an eight man, $500 MC battle judged by Elements Battle Champions Otherwize, Poseyedon, Dotted Line and Seefor. Attendees will also catch special sets by 2014 World DMC Supremacy Champion DJ IFTW and 3x LA DMC Champion DJ Manwell, DJ Able and DJ Luman. Resident Elements DJ’s for the evening include DJs Bonds, C-Los, Breeze and Gabereal.
Club Elements, once a West Coast staple for hip-hop fans and artists alike, will return to host the official Freestyle Sessions After-Party featuring a live performance by Mass Appeal recording artist Fashawn. Having played host to MC battles and concerts from the likes of Common, Mos Def and Jeru the Damaja to name a few, Elements was the place to be in the late '90s and early '00s. Now over a decade later, fans will get another chance to experience West Coast independent hip-hop the way Elements did it.
"Club Elements featured artists like Dilated Peoples, Jurassic 5, Talib Kweli…I feel like Fashawn is one of the new artists that fits right into the movement we left off with," says DJ Bonds, one of the producers of Elements. In moving to an all-ages format, organizers hope to bridge the generation gap showing the youth how emcees, DJs and B-Boys should (and can) unite under one roof, "just like we used to do it back in the 90’s." While all ages are welcome, a full bar is available for those of age with ID.
The Broadchester is located at 8604 S. Broadway, Los Angeles, CA 90003. Tickets for the event will be available at the door for $10 with a Freestyle Session ticket stub, $25 without. Pre-sale tickets are currently available for $15 and can be purchased through http://bit.ly/elements1107.
