In the late 90's in Los Angeles, a weekly hip-hop event where MCs, DJs, Breakers and Graffiti writers could come togther was born in the shape of a Sunday night club called Elements.

The documentary, currently in production, explores the weekly event that was an integral part of a developing independent hip hop industry quickly growing beyond its "underground" and "backpacker" roots, while still staying true to it. Independent record labels, record stores, hip-hop publications and underground hip-hop radio shows such as
The Wake Up Show and
Friday Night Flavas were all part of this vibrant scene. Following in the steps of Bigga B and Orlando's Legendary Unity, DJ Bonds and crew created a synergy between the local LA hip-hop community and the national independent hip-hop scene. It was a must for sought-after MCs and DJs across the country to perform at
Elements to solidify an authentic fan base in Los Angeles.
The
Elements documentary will tell the story about the 1990's LA underground-to-independent hip-hop scene, and include rare footage of classic MC Battles, concerts and will take you behind-the-scenes of a vibrant era of hip hop culture.
