Hiero Day IV 2015

Described as "a day to celebrate independent hip-hop collective Hieroglyphics & Independent Music Everywhere", the 4th annual Hiero Day is set to take place Labor Day, Sept 7th, 2015 in Downtown Oakland. An all-ages music festival scheduled to included 25+ artists, bands and DJ's, this year plans to include a Ferris Wheel, The Beats Lab, and exclusive DJ Tent, 3 stages of performers, a skate park and a number of local vendors.

Hiero Day IV 2015 A full lineup hasn't been announced yet, but in addition to Hieroglyphics, last years event included performances from Del the Funky Homosapien's alter-ego Deltron Zero, Adrian Younge doing an all-vinyl DJ set, local talent Queens D. Light, Casey Veggies, Los Rakas and more. Former Mayor Jean Quan and the City Of Oakland declared the event an official holiday and donated shuttles to provide free bus rides to Hiero Day 2014 which was attended by over 20,000 people.

The official Heiro Day is on September 3rd or 9/3 (a reference to Hiero collective members Souls of Mischief's "'93 Till Infinity"), however the festival is always held on Labor Day, ensuring more fans and family are able to attend.
