"Sweetest Dub" is an exclusive free download from the recent "Suns of Dub meets Mighty Crown mixtape". It's a reworked melodica/vocal dub of Lauryn Hill's "Sweetest Thing," one of the standouts from the soundtrack of the 1997 film Love Jones. The dub adheres close to the original, but the smooth vibes are now mostly provided by Suns of Dub's Addis Pablo. His melodica, which weaves in and out playing the lead parts, steps back only when Ms. Hill's occasional vocals are brought in, almost in a conversational sense. The pairing of Lauryn Hill's voice with the introspective melodica sound is indeed one of the sweetest things we've ever known.
