Despite featuring acts like Koffee, Steel Pulse, and Beres Hammond, the festival's abrupt cancellation on June 16—five days before it was set to start—left many patrons disappointed and seeking refunds. Festival organizer Gretchen Franz Smith cited "extreme financial challenges" for the cancellation but provided no further details. After weeks of silence, a July 14 statement confirmed that the festival could not reimburse ticket buyers due to insufficient funds, as much of the revenue had already been spent on pre-festival costs. Ticket holders, including Scott Romer, who spent over $1,000, and Eric Andersson, who spent around $350, are distressed by the loss and the lack of refund options. Some have even sought legal recourse, citing violations of California law.
