On Friday, Skip Marley premiered a 25-minute documentary, Let's Take It Higher, on Vibe.com. Produced by Boomshots, the piece features H.E.R., Inner Circle, Damian "Jr Gong" Marley, the Marley family and more.

Director Reshma B, who produced the acclaimed reggae documentary Studio 17: The Lost Reggae Tapes, describes Skip as "doing what Bob did for his generation".

In addition to music and interviews, Let's Take It Higher follows Skip Marley's daily life (eating healthy, exercising, etc.), shares family movies from his childhood and introduces a new acoustic rendition of Slow Down, recorded as a virtual duet between Skip in Miami and H.E.R. in Los Angeles.

The first-time Grammy nominee was up for two awards this year, Best Reggae Album (Higher Place) and another Best R&B Song (Slow Down).
