For its 20th anniversary season of their free summertime music series, Sunset Concerts, The Skirball Cultural Center continues to feature an eclectic mix of traditions and styles. Last night was no exception. Brooklyn-based Sinkane, the talented multi-instrumentalist, brought a transfixing afro-punk sound that defied any conventional genre definition with influences from krautrock, bluegrass, funk rock, and Sudanense pop.
